Once in a while I’ll come across a photo of a guy with green eyes, and I’ll save the photo if I think it’s special. I’m sharing two of these this morning. I rarely encounter men with green eyes when I’m out; I guess green eyes result from a recessive gene, but I find them enchanting.
I rose very early (for me) this morning, about six AM. I read half the newspaper, waiting for sunrise. Of course, the stories mostly focused on the Boston Marathon bombing suspects. What a tragedy, and how sad that two young men who obviously had talent and intelligence ended up doing something so heinous. Honestly, I don’t understand it at all.
I took my three-mile walk on the beach, around seven AM. I won’t say conditions were perfect. The wind blew pretty hard and the sky was overcast, but I enjoyed my wak just the same.
I’m home now, enjoying a cup of coffee, getting ready to do more edits on my new novel. This will consume most of my morning. I know editing doesn’t sound too exciting, but it doesn’t bother me in the least. I want me story to be the best it can.
This evening, a friend and I will attend a Mozart concert in the city. The principal piece the chorale will perform is Mozart’s Requiem, which is my favorite piece of music I’ve ever heard. If you have never listened to Requiem, may I suggest you do? My friend purchased good seats in the balcony, and the concert hall has amazing acoustics. They sell booze there, too. What could be better?
I’m not sure what I’ll do with my afternoon. The sky’s cloudy and the wind’s blowing pretty hard, so outdoors activities look a bit sketchy, but we’ll see. In any event, I’m free to do as I choose, and that’s always nice. Have a good Saturday, friends.
