My round of golf today turned out to be far more interesting than I’d expected. When I checked in, I told the guy I wanted to play solo; that was my plan for today. I went to the driving range to warm up, and a few minutes later a young man, about fifteen, joined me to hit balls. He kind of looked like the guy in the upper photo.
Anyway, we started talking, and ultimately decided to play a round together, since he was by himself as well. He was a really nice kid, very respectful, and a better golfer than me. We had a great time, and we agreed we would play again in a week or two. Life’s full of surprises, isn’t it?
Okay, by one o’clock the golf course was an oven, and I was glad when we finished the round. I was ready for a shower and the air conditioning. I’m home now, savoring a cold beer, and waiting for my boyfriend to return after taking a four-hour examination. I know he’ll be mentally exhausted, so I am taking him out to a nice restaurant for dinner tonight. Good food and wine always sooth an over-taxed brain.
I’m experiencing heavier-than-usual traffic on this website today; I’m not sure why. Traffic’s been down, ever since my computer consultant had to install stronger security measures on my site, to prevent spammers and people making mischief; they seem to be everywhere.
If it doesn’t rain tonight, maybe we’ll visit the timeshare down the street to swim in the pool. At this time of year, it’s a delightful temperature, and no one is ever there. M-m-m-m. Have a nice Monday night, friends.
