Skimboarding; it’s a Gulf Coast thing in Florida ….

Hi, friends and readers

We don’t have rideable surf on Florida’s Gulf Coast. If I want to get my surfboard wet I have to drive to the east coast for waves. Here on the Gulf Coast if a guy wants to do something akin to surfing he buys a skimboard. A skimboard is used to skin across the surface of a broken wave after it fans out on the shore. It’s a fun sport pursued mostly by younger men who are lean and have lots of energy. I used to do it when I was a teenager, but I’d probably break an ankle trying to skimboard now. Oh, well ….

Now here’s a brand of skimboarding I wish was more popular on my beach. I’ve never seen a person skimboard naked, but I’d sure like to. What a nice butt the young man has. 😉

I’m posting late today, since I was busy writing all morning. Then, right after lunch, I drove into the city to run errands. I had a new set of tires put on  my Honda Element. The old ones had 64,000 miles on them and needed to be replaced. While the new tires were being installed, I visited a shopping mall next door where I got a nice deal on some very classy shirts that were discounted about 80%. Couldn’t pass those up. I bought new undershirts and socks to wear when doing yard work and visiting my fishing camp.

After I got my car I hit a bed & bath store for new pillowcases, and then bought lawn mulch at home Depot. Once I got home and unloaded the car I took a two-mile run. Whew, what a day.

I just a bit, after I shower, I’ll drive back into town for my usual Thursday night gathering with my pal from my grade school days. Have a nice Thursday night, friends.
