My second year of college I lived in my fraternity house, along with forty other brothers. The house had two floors and each floor had its own bathroom with sinks, toilets and gang showers. Very common sights in the hallways were guys wearing nothing but a white towel wrapped around their waists as they walked to or from the bathroom on their floor, and I have to say that I did my fair share of drooling as I’d pass guys in their towels in the hallway. Ah, the good old days …. 😉
Well, my ex-partner and I traveled to the IKEA store in Tampa yesterday, where I purchase a sofa bed for what will now be a guest bedroom. The sofa came in two cartons, one which barely fit inside my Honda Element. The other carton we tied to the Element’s roof racks, and then we drove to my home, dodging rainstorms along the way.
Once home we assembled the sofa, which only took about thirty minutes, and now I have a comfortable sofa bed for my guests to sleep on when they visit me. The sofa looks great in the room and I’m real pleased. 🙂
By the way, check out the lips on Mr. Bracelets to the left here. I’ll bet he can do amazing things with them. 😉
It’s another soggy day, here on the island. Hurricane Harvey keeps sending us rain bands from over in Texas, I just finished writing fresh material for my novel-in-progress for 2-1/2 hours, and pretty soon I’ll make myself a quick lunch. Then it’s off to the city to visit the YMCA for a workout and a lap-swimming session. With the wet weather I won’t be walking on the beach today.
Have a nice Monday, everyone.
