Tomorrow around noon I will board an airplane to travel to the great State of Maine for a six-day stay at a friend’s lakefront cottage near Greenville. It’s a beautiful spot and Maine, in my opinion is one of our nation’s most beautiful states, eclipsed only by California.
There will four of us on the trip. We’ll do some hiking and exploring, maybe do some kayaking, most certainly do some drinking, and we’ll make ourselves some tasty meals too, plenty of lobster, haddock and fresh local vegetables.
One of the things I like most about Maine is its people. They are so warm and welcoming and always willing to help you if you need it. They are very unpretentious and they cherish their freedoms.
We won’t have Internet or cell phone service where we’re staying, so I won’t be posting till the middle of next week. I hope you guys can surtvive without me.
I love photos of hot-looking guys taking a shower. Streaming water only enhances the beauty of a young man’s flesh. The photos I’m posting here today take me back to my days at the fraternity house at University of Florida, where we gang-showered in a communal bathroom. The sights were nothing less than stellar … 😉
I’m up early this morning, after having a pleasant dinner with my friend at the Thai restaurant. After our meal I drove home and climbed into bed with a book. I was tired and slept like a sack of rocks until 7:30 this morning. Now I’m enjoying a simple breakfast before embarking on the day’s activities. (Boy, this orange juice tastes good.)
I have a dental appointment at ten this morning. It’s a routine checkup and cleaning. Then, right after lunch, I’ll drive into the city to visit the YMCA for a workout and lap-swimming. When I return home form the “Y” it’ll be time to pack my suitcase for a trip to Maine I’ll leave for tomorrow morning. I have not done any long distance travel since last Christmas for a variety of reasons, and I am looking forward to this trip immensely. I’ll be staying at a friend’s lakefront cottage about 90 minutes from Bangor, along with three other guys. We’ll do some hiking, some drinking, some joke-telling, and we’ll dine on fresh lobster and haddock. It’ll be nice escaping from the Florida heat.
