When I went off to college, at the tender age of seventeen, I was 6’1″ tall but I only weighed 155 pounds. I pretty much looked like the guys in today’s photo posts. At the time I hated the fact I was so skinny, but now I realize that certain men probably found me extremely attractive. If only I knew then what I know now. 🙁 In any event, the summer after my freshman year I put on fifteen pounds almost overnight. I actually had muscles, and I was happy about that. But maybe I should have taken advantage of my skinny self. Oh, well ….
It’s another beautiful fall morning, here on the island. The sun is shining, there’s a steady breeze, and the humidity is low. Right after I finish this post I will take a three-mile walk on the beach down the street from my house.
I have a fairly ambitious schedule for my afternoon. I need to apply a coat of polyurethane to my new patio table my handyman built for me last week. I need to fertilize my shrubs in my front yard, which takes a lot of time. I’ll clean my bathrooms and water my houseplants too.
I’m not sure what I’ll do with my Saturday night, but I don’t plan to spend it alone, that’s for sure. Maybe I’ll meet a friend for dinner at a restaurant. Have a nice Saturday, friends, wherever you are, and keep smiling, it’s important.
