Hi, friends and readers:
I just returned from a trip to North Carolina where I spent four days with a couple from Ft. Lauderdale.
The husband in the couple was my best friend from middle school all the way through college. We were inseparable during those years. In middle school and high school we lived in a beach community and we spent considerable time roaming the shore and surfing at a sandbar close to my house. The photos I’m posting here this morning remind me of those days.
I was up early this morning, since a demolition crew is tearing down the house next door to me. There’s a giant steam shovel eating up portions of the house and dumping the rubble into dump trucks that haul the stuff away. It’s a noisy situation but it should be over today and then we’ll return to normal.
I spent 2-1/2 hours writing fresh material for my novel-in-progress, which has reached 60,000 words and I’m still not close to finishing it. Now it’s well past eleven AM and right after I finish this post I’ll get busy on fixing my lunch. I have a doctor’s appointment for my usual 6-month checkup and then I’m having a friend over for dinner again tonight.
All right, friends, I need to get busy so I will wish all of you a wonderful Tuesday, wherever you might be right now. Keep smiling. 🙂
