I think people liked my “plaid shirt” photos I posted this morning, so I thought I’d share another of my favorites with you this afternoon. This boy’s name is Victor LeClerc. I assume he’s French. I have several photos of him, including one shirtless that is also a favorite. Look at how narrow his hips are, and his wavy hair is so beautiful. Yummy …. 😉
I’ve had a very productive day after getting off to a slow start. Righit after lunch I walked three miles on the beach for exercise. It was beautiful down there: sunny, still and not too warm. The Gulf was calm and clear, and not too many people were sunning themselves on the shore. Mostly European tourists from France, Germany and the U.K., judging by the accepts I heard as I ambled alone.
After my walk I tackled reorganizing my closet and my bathroom drawers. It didn’t take as long as I thought it would, and now everything looks so much neater and easier to access. I also hung up a new U.S. flag next to my front porch door. The old one wore out years ago. I had to remove the old mounting bracket and then put up a new one, which involved using my cordless drill. Now the flag’s up and it really dresses my place up. Carpenter Martin …. 🙂
I’m spending another quiet evening at home tonight. A good friend/neighbor of mine who was such a fine person passed away one year ago today, and another good friend/neighbor and I will have a drink in her memory a little later on today. I think it’s important to honor the lives of those who’ve been so kind to us over the years.
It’s funny how a plaid shirt on the right guy can make him look oh-so-sexy, especially if it’s unbuttoned to show off his chest and belly. I mean, the guy to the left here looks like he’s begging the photographer to drag him into a bedroom, doesn’t he? Aye-yi-yi ….
I spent a very quiet evening at home last night. I drank two beers on my elevated deck, just listening to my i-Pod and watching the sailboats cruise by my house. I cooked myself a nice shrimp and pasta dinner that I teamed up with a garden salad. And then I watched election returns. From what I saw, the anti-Trump movement is building momentum as people are voicing their frustrations at the ballot box. It couldn’t happen soon enough, in my opinion. Trumps a disgrace and needs to be run out of office ASAP.
Well, in the health department I am doing much better but I am not yet out of the woods. My energy level has not returned to normal, and I still have a dry cough. So I will spend another day taking it easy: no gym, no swimming laps and no running. Instead I will take a three-mile walk on the beach for exercise.
I have some home organization goals I’ll try to fulfill today. My bedroom closet needs rearranged, as do two of my bathroom drawers that I have not organized in years. That may not sound like much of a challenge but if you saw the closet and the drawers you’d know what a task I’m facing. It’ll be a good project for me to undertake on a day when I’m still recovering from my cold.
All right, everyone, I need to get busy, so I will close this post by wishing all of you a wonderful Wednesday, wherever you happen to be today. Keep smiling, it’s important. 🙂
