People really liked yesterday’s black-and-white photos, so I thought I’d put up two more of my favorites this morning. The boy to the left reminds me very much of a guy I had a deep crush on during my freshman year of college. We lived on the same floor in my dormitory and I used to see him naked every day in the shower room. I loved his brown hair, smooth skin and dark eyes. I wonder where Peter is today? God, that seems so long ago, and it’s possible Peter isn’t even alive. 🙁
I woke this morning to the sounds of buzz saws and nail guns. And also to the sounds of giant vehicles humming and growling. A few weeks ago the house next door to mine was torn down and now the owners are building a new one. What joy …. 🙁
My Thanksgiving was a mixed bag, to be honest. I spent most of the day alone. Almost everyone in my neighborhood left town for the holiday, so things were as quiet as an empty church. I went for a three-mile walk, and then took a two-mile run around three PM. Then I popped open a beer and got busy cooking. I made a green bean casserole and homemade stuffing. I brought those items to a friend’s house, along with an apple pie, vanilla ice cream, and a bottle of wine. My friend roasted a turkey. We had a wonderful meal and I truly enjoyed myself.
It’s a gloomy morning, here on the island. The sky is overcast and the temperature is cool. I don’t have a lot on my plat today, other than driving into the city to visit the YMCA for a workout and lap-swimming. Have a nice Friday, everyone.
