I live in a beach community that gets mobbed by sun worshipers every weekend, and right now the mob is 40% Spring Breakers visiting from northern climates. A few years back, boardshorts were all the rage among college boys visiting our island, but I’m not seeing so many boardshorts anymore. Guys are going in for shorter swim trunks, which I like, but I still like the way a proper-fitting pair of boardshorts flatter a young man’s rear end, as in the photo to the left. I could look at his butt all day long. 😉
Well, my dinner party last night was a complete success. Before I began cooking my guests and I spent a pleasant hour drinking beer on my observation deck. Then we descended to my patio where I built a blaze in my fire pit. I grilled pork chops over charcoal, teamed up with baked potatoes and a garden salad. Delicious …..
I slept in late this morning, so I didn’t get anything done in the writing department, but I read the entire Sunday newspaper so at least I’m up to speed with what’s going on in the world.
I’m attending a belated St. Patruck’s Day party at my friends’ home this evening, and other than taking a three-mile walk on the beach and a two-mile run around four PM, I don’t have a lot on my plate today.
It’s another perfect winter day, here on the island: sunny, about 75 degrees F, and still. Right after lunch I’ll take my beach walk, and maybe I’ll do a bit of editing on the novel-in-progress. Have a great Sunday, friends.
