Two classic photos all gay men adore; back to the dentist for Martin ….

Hi, friends and readers:

Today I am posting two classic photos that I, and most all gay men I know, adore.

The first, to the left here, was taken in the 1970’s, I believe, and was published in a gay-oriented magazine of that time. I’ve always called it “The Enigmatic Boy with a Belt” because the photo raises more questions than it offers answers. The boy is classically beautiful with his long hair, dark eyes and smooth limbs. But why is he so scantily clad, and why is he holding the belt the way he is? Is he about to suffer a whipping? If so, did he do something wrong? Or is he actually relishing his punishment?

Well, I guess we’ll never know, will we?

The second photo was taken at the elite Salem School in southern Germany, in the school’s bathing facility. The photographer was an American who lived in Germany in the 1960’s, named Will McBride. Great photo, eh?

Well, over the weekend the temporary cap I had placed on one of my front teeth shifted position, and I look like I belong in Disney’s Haunted Mansion when I smile. I called my dentist this morning and they are getting me in for a repair around two PM. Hopefully the third time will be the charm.

Because of the dental appointment I won’t be able to visit the YMCA today for my usual workout and lap-swimming session, so I guess I will take a run, here on the island, around four PM, to get some exercise. Outside it’s terribly hot and humid, and I can’t wait for cooler weather to arrive next month.

Have a nice Monday, everyone.
