If you follow this site then you know I live in a beach community. I can walk from my front door to the Gulf of Mexico in about two minutes. And on weekends, al the college boys flock to the shore in their swim trunks, which makes for some very pleasant viewing when I take my usual three-mile walk for some exercise.
Sadly, for the past month I haven’t visited the beach because of the Ride Tide that has plagued the Gulf since I returned here from Europe. Who wants to visit the beach when dead fish are lying around and the air smells so bad you can’t stand it. 🙁
Oh well, at least I can enjoy the photos I’m posting here this morning. 😉
I spent a pleasant evening last night, watching my Florida Gators upset Mississippi State 13-6, something no one expected since the game was played at MS’s home field before a very hostile crowd. Go Gators!
It’s another warm day, here on the island, but at least a breeze is blowing to keep things a bit more bearable. I don’t have a lot planned for today, other than taking a two-mile run and maybe doing some indoor painting. The Tampa Bay Bucs are playing Chicago at one PM and I may watch part of the game, though I’m not really big on the NFL these days.
All, right, I need to get busy. I’ve already spent too much time reading the Sunday newspaper, and now I need to get productive. So, I will close this post by wishing all of you a wonderful Sunday, wherever you might happen to be today. And keep smiling, it’s important.
