Happy Halloween from Martin ….

Hi, friends and readers:

It’s Halloween today. When I was a boy, Halloween was my second favorite holiday, just behind Christmas. (Nothing beats presents under the tree, right?)

I think I liked Halloween because it gave me a chance to be someone other than myself. Actually, all gay men and boys had to do that every day, back when I was growing up. But on Halloween, I could dress however I chose and no one would consider me weird. I also liked going from door-to-door and meeting people I hadn’t ever talked with before. And I liked the freedom of roaming in the night without adult supervision. (Though I guess that doesn’t happen much anymore. 🙁 )

Anyway, I’m not doing anything for Halloween this year. I live in a neighborhood where hardly any children live, so there won’t be any trick-or-treaters at my door tonight. So, I am having dinner with a friend at our favorite Italian restaurant.

Look, if you feel like getting into the Halloween spirit, you can always buy a copy of my short novel titled Trick and Treat. Here’s the blurb for the book:

“Eric’s a college freshman and a computer geek. His college dorm mate, Tyler, is a loner who dabbles in the occult. While trick-or-treating near campus, Eric meets Roland, a vampire with a taste for young men. Their physical encounter casts a spell over Eric. Is he doomed to become a vampire himself, or can Tyler help free Eric from Roland’s grasp? Can the budding friendship between Eric and Tyler evolve into something more?”

And Happy Halloween, friends. 🙂

Hot blond boys at the beach; nice evening in store for Martin ….

Hi, friends and readers:

If you follow this site regularly, then you know I live in a beach community on Florida’s west coast. The Gulf of Mexico is less than 100 yards from my front door, and I never tire of visiting the shore for long walks, especially on weekends when tons of hot young men flock to the water. They run around in swim trunks, showing off their youthful physiques while my tongue drags along the sand. 😉

Anyway, I haven’t visited the beach much lately because of the Red Tide that invaded our part of the Gulf around the first of September, just after I returned from Europe. It’s been too stinky down there, from all the dead fish, and the Red Tide also irritates your breathing passages and makes you cough. 🙁

It’s four PM right now, and I’ve had a busy day. I wrote fresh material all morning. Then, after lunch, I visited the wine market and the supermarket to replenish my supplies. I also visited our neighborhood seafood market to buy fresh grouper for a dinner I will serve a friend and myself this evening. It’ll be yummy, and maybe afterward we’ll watch a Netflix movie for entertainment.

When I returned home around two o’clock, I put on my work clothes and spent 2-1/2 hours working in the yard, raking leaves, trimming shrubs, and tidying my patios. I potted four new plants, and now the place looks great inside and out. It’s a beautiful night, here on the island–sunny, dry, and about eighty degrees, just perfect fall weather.

All right, friends, I need to hop in the shower, so I will close this post by wishing all of you a wonderful Tuesday evening. And keep smiling, it’s important. 🙂

Nice video: a sexy guy takes matters into his own hands ….

Hi, friends and readers:

You guys know I never post porn on this site because it’s intended for all ages. But once in a while I will come across something so enticing that I like to share it with those of you who are adults.

Look, all gay men like to pleasure themselves regularly. It’s a ritual we learn as young teens and we never fully abandon it, now do we?  If you enjoy a handsome young man taking care of business, have a look at this:

See, I knew you’d like it. 😉 Have a great night, friends.

Guys with sexy abs; beautiful evening on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

You know, in my bok there’s nothing sexier than a cute guy who owns a set of rock-hard abs, like the two guys in today’s photo posts. I mean, have a look at Mr. Smiley to the left here. Great hair and skin, nice muscles and a 100-watt smile. And those abs … Aye-yi-yi.

I didn’t post yesterday because my day was jam-packed. I rose at 7:30 AM and secured my Trek hybrid bicycle to the bike rack on my car. Then I drove to a friend’s where we loaded my bike into his trailer along with four others. The five of us traveled to Myakka River State Park, where we spent a glorious day cycling the roads and trails throughout the park. The weather was perfect: cool, dry, sunny and just a little breezy. When I got home, the time was close to 4:30 PM. I unloaded my bike and locked it up, then removed the bike rack form my car and stowed it. After I was done it was time for beers on my deck, so no time for posting. Sorry, guys.

I’ve had a great day so far today. I was up at eight this morning and pounding on the keyboard at nine, writing fresh material for my novel-in-progress. The book’s at 55,000 words and nowhere near finished.

Right after lunch, I climbed into my Honda Element and cruised into the city for a workout and lap-swimming session at the YMCA. Then I hit Home Depot for yard mulch, flowers to plant and another plant to replace the one on my front screened porch. Now I am home and feeling relaxed as I open a cold beer and ready myself for a relaxing evening. 🙂

Have a great Monday evening, friends.

Sexy football players; Gator football on Martin’s agenda today ….

Hi, friends and readers:

I’m not a big sports fan, but I do enjoy following the Florida Gators football team each season, and especially this year because the team is actually pretty good. They are ranked in the top ten nationally, and today they’ll play another top ten team, the University of Georgia Bulldogs. The game’s at 3;30 PM and I’m going to watch at a friend’s house. We’ll drink a few beers during the game and then get takeout for dinner. It should be lots of fun, so …. Go Gators!

I spent a little time on my observation deck with my friend and neighbor last night, and conditions were so beautiful, I hated to to go inside. The sun was shining, the temperature and humidity were comfortable, and a light breeze blew–perfect fall weather in central Florida.

I spent last night by myself, dining on baked chicken flavored with ranch dressing, salsa and melted cheddar cheese, a real tasty meal. I watched a few episodes of Bates Motel on Netflix streaming.

I was up this morning at eight o’clock, and after I enjoyed a quick breakfast, I got busy at the keyboard writing fresh material for my novel-in-progress. I wrote for two hours, and now it’s 10:30 AM. Right after I write these words I will take a two-mile run, here on the island, for a little exercise. I have a painting project I’ll work on for 90 minutes or so, right after lunch, and then I’ll shower before driving into the city to watch the Gator game.

By the way, do you find the photo to the right as amazing as I do. I love the way the photographer shot the player in mid-air, just as he caught the ball, and I really like the way we can see the players muscles being put to use as he grabs the ball. What a beautiful guy, too. Great skin and hair. I wonder if he has a boyfriend?

Anyway, I digress ….

Early tomorrow morning, I am am joining a group of friends for a trip to a pretty state park about an hour south of here. We’re taking a trailer loaded up with our bikes and we’ll do some cycling in the park for a spell. Then we’ll have lunch there before returning to Pinellas County. So this afternoon, before the game, I need to lubricate my bike and hook my bike rack up to the trailer hitch on my car.

I need to get busy on things, so I will close this post by wishing all of you a wonderful Saturday. Go Gators! 🙂

Hot guys in ball caps; easy Friday in store for Martin ….

Hi, friends and readers:

I grew up in the southeastern U.S. and some of my boyhood friends were country guys. They were sweet-natured, really, and some were quite sexy in their own, country-boy way, Now, take a look at Mr. Ball Cap and Belt Buckle to the left here. Would you turn down a date with him? Of course you wouldn’t. He has a classically athletic body and a boyish face that could charm the pants off any gay man, including me. I wonder where he lives and what his name is? I’m guessing he’s…Toby from Mobile, Alabama. He hunts and fishes with his best friend Chase, and sometimes when they go camping they, well you know …. 😉

I had a great evening with my friend at his house in the city last night. We drank ice cold beer and listened to music, and then we dined on Mexican takeout that was real tasty. I even brought leftovers home for my lunch today.

I have an easy day ahead of me. I slept in late this morning, I don’t know why, so I didn’t get much done in the writing department but that’s okay. Right now I’m finishing my breakfast, and as soon as I complete this post I’ll read the newspaper and solve the L.A. Times crossword puzzle. After a quick lunch I will drive back into the city for a workout and lap-swimming session.

I don;t have any plans for my Friday evening, but that’s okay. I’ll bake a chicken breast for my dinner, and whip up a couple of sides to go with it. I have a Netflix rental to watch, and maybe I’ll go for a swim down the street  at my timeshare. It’s a pretty day, here on the island, and I’ll be contented to enjoy it.

All right, friend, it’s time for me to run, so I will close this post by wishing all of you a very pleasant Friday, wherever you happen to be today.

Beautiful guys in black-and-white; busy Thursday in store for Martin ….

Hi, friends and readers:

As you know, if you follow this site, I adore good-quality black-and-white photography, especially when the subject of a photo is an attractive young man like the guy to the left here. I mean, have a look at him. Beautiful facial features, nice skin and hair, and those lips. Aye-yi-yi, I’ll bet he can do amazing things with them. 😉

Well, how is everyone’s Thursday going?

I was up at 7:30 this morning, after a good night’s sleep. I made a quick breakfast, then spent 2-1/2 hours at the keyboard, banging out fresh material for my novel-in-progress, which is beginning to take shape nicely. I love my main characters and the setting, which is 1970’s Tallahassee. I lived up there at the time and loved the town and the natural beauty surrounding it.

Now, have a look at Mr. Sneakers to the left here. He’s equally amazing, isn’t he? Great body, beautiful skin and hair. Definitely boyfriend material. I wonder if he’s single? I love the way the lighting plays on his muscles and the contours of his body. Yummy …. 😉

I have a busy day ahead of me. Right after lunch I need to run errands for about an hour. Then I have yard work to do for  a couple of hours. Then I’ll take a two-mile run, here on the island.

After I shower and dress, I’ll drive into the city for my weekly “boys’ night out” with my oldest friend in the world. We’ll drink a few beers and talk about how our week went and what we did. Then we’ll get takeout for our dinner. I always look forward to my Thursday nights, and I’m lucky to have such a good friend.

Have a nice, Thursday, friends, wherever you might be today.

In praise of slender guys; pretty night on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

I know a lot of you guys out there like your men with plenty of muscle, and I can understand the appeal of beef. But I prefer guys on the slender side, with broad shoulders, smooth skin, and just a bit of muscle, like the two appearing in tonight’s photo posts. I mean, have a look at the guy to the left. Imagine wrapping your arms around his slender waist and planting a big wet kiss on his lips. Yunny …. 🙂

I had a great night with my friends yesterday, dining on Thai food and then viewing the movie First Man, which was excellent. I got home around 10:45 PM and spent a pleasant 45 minutes on my back screened porch before retiring. What a nice way to spend a Tuesday night. 🙂

I’ve had a pleasant Wednesday, focusing on my writing this morning, then driving into the city for a workout and lap-swimming session at the YMCA. I even got my own lap lane, and a super cute lifeguard was in the chair, so I had some eye candy to enjoy as I swam.

I hit Home Depot on my way home to purchase two new plants for my back porch, to replace two that recently died. 🙁 I also bought a new basil plant. Basil won’t grow here during the warm months–the temperature gets too hot–but now is the time I start a new plant each year. I’ll probably get all these transplanted into pots tomorrow afternoon, after I run my errands.

I’m home now, with the car unloaded and m gym things put away. I am sipping from a cold beer and feeling great form my exercising. I don’t really have a lot planned for my evening. I have some tasty leftovers for my dinner and a good bottle of Sauvignon blanc chilling in the fridge. I may watch a Netflix movie after dinner.

All right, my friends, I have some correspondence to take care of and a few phone calls to make, so I will close this post by wishing all of you a wonderful Wednesday evening,  wherever you might be today. Keep smiling, it’s important. 🙂

A boyfriend in your bed. What could be better?

Hi, friends and readers:

If you are lucky enough to have a live-in boyfriend, then you know what a simply pleasure it is to share a bed with him. You fall asleep holding him at night, and wake up next to him in the morning. It’s one of the things I miss the most, now that I’m single. (It’s been 18 months since my breakup, and I can;t say as I like being single, after being partnered for seven years. But that’s life.)

Anyway, how would you like to wake u next to Mr. Blue Eyes to the left here? Yummy …. 😉

I woke up very early this morning, like around five AM, and I knew I wouldn’t go back to sleep, so I read in bed until 7:30 AM. Then I shaved and made the bed. Then I drove to a medical lab to have blood drawn for my six-month check-up with my primary care doctor. (At my age, you do this is you’re smart.

I got home from the lab around 8:30 AM, and after a quick breakfast, I took a cup of coffee to my keyboard and spent two hours writing fresh material for my novel-in-progress, now at 51,000 words and nowhere close to completion.

Now it 12:30 PM and I am enjoying a light lunch wile I write these words. I have an appointment in the city at two PM, and after that I need to hit the wine market. I’ll take a two-mile run around four PM, and a five I’m having a drink with a close friend. Then I’ll drive into town to dine out with a friend. We’re going to see a new movie at the theater titled First Man. Hope it’s good.

Have a nice Tuesday, friends.

Beautiful guys in black-and-white; typical Monday in store for Martin ….

Hi, friends and readers:

If you follow this site then you know I’m a huge fan of quality black-and-white photography, especially when a photo’s subject is a handsome young man. At least once a week I like to put up a pair of photos I especially like, and since this is Monday, I thought perhaps I could brighten your day with a couple of my favorites.

The young man to the left here is a a model who was frequently photographed several years ago. I don’t know his name, but he certainly is appealing. Does anyone know who he is? He has beautiful skin and hair, and just the right amount of muscle. Yummy …. 😉

I spent a quiet night at home yesterday, dining on baked chicken I flavored with fresh rosemary from my patio. I enjoyed a bottle of Sauvignon blanc with my meal, and watched a little Sunday night football, but I was kind of tired and went to bed early.

I know the photo to the left here is a bit odd. Why is the boy wearing plastic wader boots, and what’s he up to in the water like that? But he is classically handsome, with broad shoulders and toned muscles, and I love his facial features. I’d go fishing with him any day of the week if he’d show up dressed like that. 😉

Today will be a typical Monday for me. I’m done writing for the day and I have read the newspaper, and in just a few minutes I’ll make a light lunch for myself. Then, around 12:45, I will drive into the city to visit the YMCA for a workout and lap-swimming session. Now that all my summer/fall travels are over, I am dedicating myself to getting more fit, and the YMCA is a big part of that. I need to lose just a few pounds, and I want to get my cardio system operating at peak strength, now that cooler weather is finally arriving. Last night, it was so nice to enjoy the cool breeze and lower humidity. I love this time of year. 🙂

Have a nice Monday, friends.
