Hot guys with long hair; hurricane’s blowing in the Gulf ….

Hi, friends and readers:

When I was in college and law school, I wore my hair long. It grew past my shoulders and looked pretty good, I thought, but it was a pain in the butt to take care of. I finally had it all cut off when I got ready to interview with law firms for positions, as my graduation approached. I can’t say that I miss all that hair, but I have to admit the two guys in this morning’s photo posts look mighty good with their shaggy hair, especially Mr. Coconut to the left here. What a beautiful guy: cute face, great hair, athletic body, definitely boyfriend material. I wonder what his name is?

Week, at 5 AM today I was wakened in my bed by the furious pounding of rain on my roof. I eventually went back to sleep and didn’t get up until eight AM, but when I did, all kinds of messages were on my phone from friends.

A major hurricane named Michael is churning in the Gulf of Mexico, getting ready to hit the Florida Panhandle with 120 MPH winds. Thankfully the storm has already passed by Tampa Bay, and all we’re getting is the occasional squall line, with lots of wind and rain. Thankfully, there’s no flooding on my island, which is fortunate, since my front door is 50 yards from the Intracoastal Waterway. I think I am safe.

Today will be a typical Wednesday for me. I’ve already spent 2-1/2 hours working on my novel-in-progress, and by the time I complete this post it will be lunchtime. Right after lunch I will climb into the Element (weather permitting) and drive into the city to visit the YMCA for a workout and lap-swimming. On my way home I will hit the supermarket for some fresh fish and other groceries. Then I’ll spend a quiet evening here at home.

Have a nice Wednesday, friends.
