Since today is all about guys and boats, I decided to post the photo to the left tonight because I think it’s so cool. I guess the boys are doing their own version of the“flying on the bow” scene from the film Titanic. And aren’t they cute?
I stayed busy all afternoon, getting housework and yard chores doen, and even washing windows at my vacation rental and at my place. Everything’s neat and sparkly now. At four PM I took a nice two-mile run in perfect weather, and now I’m sipping from a cold beer before I climb into the shower. Then I’m off to the city.
I live in an island community and I am surrounded by water. Boating is huge in this area, and there’s a reason why. The whole world looks different when seen from a boat deck, and I am not sure why. Plus it’s so peaceful floating in the Gulf of Mexico or cruising the Intracoastal Waterway.
Oh, there’s also one other great benefit to boating. When you take young men on board for a cruise, it’s not long before most (if not all) their clothes come off. The sights can be pretty stellar, and sometimes, with the right guys, you can have some fun below decks. What fun it is …. 😉
I was up early this morning, around 7:30, and just after breakfast I spent three hours writing fresh material for my novel-in-progress, which is coming along nicely. I love my main characters and the story of their developing relationship.
By the way, do you find Mr. Blondie to the left here as appealing as I do. What a cute guy ….
I’m just back from a three-mile walk, here on the island. It’s beautiful outdoors–sunny, still and about 78 degrees. My walk was so relaxing, and now it’s time for lunch. I have a bunch of small household chores to do this afternoon, and some phone calls to make. Then, around four PM, I will take a two-mile run, here on the island.
At 5:30 PM I will drive into the city for my weekly evening with my oldest friend. We’ll drink a few beers and shoot the breeze before getting takeout for our dinner. It’s always fun, and I am looking forward to it. Have a nice Thursday, friends. 🙂
