Another black-and-white beauty; nice evening on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

I generally disapprove of guys who “sag” their pants in public, but in the case of the young man to the left, I’ll make an exception. Aye-yi-yi, what a nice rear end …. 😉

I’ve had a productive day. I wrote a good deal this morning, and after lunch I ran necessary errands. When I returned home, I finished putting up my drapery rods, and then I hung my new valences on them. Now my guest room looks terrific.

When someone spends the night at my place, it’s usually a guy who sleeps with me, but I have straight friends who sometimes don’t feel like driving home after spending an evening with me. The sofa bed in the guest room is super comfortable, and the new valances really dress up the space.

It’s a beautiful evening, here on the island, about 70 degrees F, sunny and still. I took a two mile run around 4:30 PM. Then I drank two beers on my observation deck while watching sailboats cruise by in the Intracoastal Waterway and listening to music. Honestly, I hated to come down, but I ran out of beer. (Oh no!)

I’m tossing a chicken breast into the oven for my dinner tonight, and I have a Netflix movie to watch, so I’m good. Have a nice Thursday evening, friends.

Beautiful guys in black-and-white; gorgeous morning on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

At least once a week, I like to post a couple of my favorite black-and-white photos, and I’m doing so this morning, for your viewing pleasure.

The young man to the left here is certainly beautiful with his wavy hair, enchanting eyes, and lanky frame. I like the way he is posed, and also the expression on his face. He gives off an air of knowing all too much about romantic relationships, despite his tender age. I wonder who he is and where he lives? Anyone know?

It’s an absolutely gorgeous morning, here on the island–72 degrees F, sunny and still, a perfect winter day.

I just finished writing fresh material for two hours, and this was one of those days where the words just flowed from my brain and onto the keyboard. My novel-in-progress is nearing the conclusion of its first draft. It’s a lengthy book, and I will need many months to revise and polish it before it’s ready for submission.

A lot of writers detest the revision process after they complete their first draft, but not me. Revisions are key to producing a meaningful story. As Hemingway once wrote, “All first drafts are shit.”

I normally spend my Thursday evenings with my oldest friend, but he’s not feeling well today, so he had to cancel, and that’s okay. I have much to do with the remainder of my day. I need to finish hanging my curtain rods in my guest bedroom. I have errands to run–wine market, seamstress to pick up my valences, supermarket and drug store. I need to hang the valences when I get back home, and then return all the room’s furniture pieces to their proper places.

Around four PM, I will take a two-mile run, here on the island, for a little exercise. I’m not sure what I will do with my free evening, but that’s okay. Have a nice Thursday, friends.

Slender and oh-so-sexy; aggravating afternoon for Martin ….

Hi, friends and readers:

I absolutely adore the photo I’m posting here tonight. I know, the guy’s skinny, but he has an infectious smile and I like his stringy limbs and smooth skin. His hips are quite narrow and his hands are large, both qualities I like. He’s definitely boyfriend material …. 😉

My afternoon today was aggravating as hell. I am no carpenter, but I figured hanging drapery rods couldn’t be all that tough. WRONG …. First of all, the rods and their support brackets had to be mounted with exact measurements so the valances hanging from them don’t look crooked. That’s not easy when you’re working around furniture on a stepladder. And the wood I’m mounting the brackets on is as hard as concrete.

I broke two drill bits during the process because the wood was so hard. And the brackets’ design made it impossible for me to use my cordless drill effectively. Each screw would only go into the wood about 3/4 of the way using the drill. Then I had to finish using a manual screw driver. But the job is now 85% complete, and I think the valances will look good.

I’m freshly showered now and savoring a cocktail before preparing dinner, here at home. I never heard from my friend about dining out tonight, so I’m staying put. Have a nice Wednesday night, friends.

Beautiful blond guys; pretty morning on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

When I look for a boyfriend (or even a date) I lean toward fair-skinned guys with dark hair and dark eyes, that’s my thing. But I can certainly appreciate the appeal of young men with blond hair and blue eyes. I mean, I wouldn’t pass up spending an evening with either guy in today’s photo posts. Would you?

I went to bed with my John Irving novel around ten last night, after trying to watch the movie I, Tonya, which I switched off halfway through. I was probably asleep by eleven, but I didn’t get up till ten this morning.

I suppose I am still recovering from Mardi Gras, but I clearly needed the rest, and now I’m feeling fine. It’s a beautiful morning outside–sunny, still and about 75 degrees F.

Not long after I complete this post, I’ll take a three-mile walk, here on the island. I’m eschewing the YMCA today because I have a project I want to complete–hanging curtain rods for valances in my guest bedroom. It will be somewhat tedious, but once I put up the valances, the room will look 100% better.

By the way, have you ever seen a pair of soccer shorts look so good as they do on Mr. Blondie to the left here? Aye-yi-yi, he’s definitely boyfriend material. 😉

I’m calling a friend after I take my walk, to see if he’ll join me for dinner tonight an Italian restaurant we both like a lot. On Wednesdays, they offer nice bottles of wine for 50% off, and what could be better than that?

Have a nice Wednesday, everyone.

Another cute guy with long hair; rainy night on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

Since everyone liked my “long hair” photos I posted here this morning, I decided to throw one more up tonight. He’s a cutie, isn’t he? I wonder if he has a boyfriend?

It’s been a long day for me, but a productive one. I loaded up the Element and hit the road around 9:15 this morning. Traffic wasn’t bad and I made it to the marina at 11:00, to meet the young man who was helping me with my boat. We drove northward about 15 miles to retrieve my boat trailer, then returned to the marina and put my boat on the trailer. Then I drove the boat to the Suzuki dealer for servicing.

After a quick lunch, I drove home, arriving here about 3:30 PM, so I was on the road for almost six hours. But everything went as smoothly as possible, and next week the young man and I will put the boat back in the water and return the trailer to the place I store it. Mission Accomplished ….

Outside right now, it’s raining like hell. I’m spending another quiet evening at home, dining on leftovers from my freezer and a fresh spinach salad. I’ll watch a Netflix rental movie, and probably hit the bed early, after the long day I had.

Have a nice Tuesday night, friends.

Beautiful guys with long hair; busy day in store for Martin ….

Hi, friends and readers:

When I was in college and law school I wore my hair long; it grew past my shoulders. I thought it looked pretty good, but all that hair was a pain in the butt to take care of. When the time came to interview with law firms for a full-time job, I had my hair cut short, and it has remained that way ever since. It sure is easier to take care of.

Anyway, I think the two young men in today’s photo posts look terrific with their long hair. Do you agree?

I’m up early this morning. It’s not even  eight AM and I’ve already made breakfast and brewed coffee. As mentioned in last night’s post, I have a busy day in store for me. Around 9:15 this morning, I will drive northward to a marina where I keep my fishing camp boat. I’ve hired a young man to help me get my boat onto my trailer so I can haul the boat into the Suzuki dealer for servicing.

Dealing with the boat will eat up a good 5-6 hours, including driving time to and from the marina. It’s an annoyance, but necessary, so I’ll get it taken care of.

By the way, do you find the guy to the left as appealing as I do? Great hair and skin, nice shoulders and a lean body. Yummy …. 😉

Anyway, by the time I get home it’ll likely be around three PM, and I’ll take a two-mile run for some exercise. Other than that, I have to concrete plans for the rest of my afternoon and evening, and that’s okay. I’m still a little crisp around the edges from Mardi Gras, so quiet time is good.

All right, everyone, I need to get busy, so I will close this post by wishing all of you a wonderful Tuesday, wherever you might be today. And keep smiling, it’s important,

Sexy and slender; quiet night on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

I know most gay men like their boys with some muscle on them–they want beef, and I get that. But I prefer slender young men with broad shoulders and narrow waists. I don’t mind if I can see a guy’s ribs under his skin. I mean, who could deny the beauty of the two in tonight’s photo posts? They’re just…yummy. 😉

I had a good workout at the YMCA today, but wasn’t able to swim because all the lap lanes were taken. It’s a frequent problem at this time of year. So, I settled for speed-walking on a treadmill for 20 minutes.

I took care of a necessary errand on my way home–getting a new toll transponder for my care since the old one had to be removed when I had my windshield replaced. I visited a D.O.T. office to get this done and have the new transponder linked to my account. Thankfully, it didn’t take too long, and now I am up and running again.

Tomorrow morning, I will drive 80 miles northward to meet a young man who’s going to help me get my boat on my trailer so I can take it into the shop for servicing. The engine was acting up last time I used it, so it’s time. Of course, this will eat up most of my day, but it’s necessary, and I need to get it done. I’ll take my time and try to enjoy the beauty of the area I’m visiting before driving back home.

I plan to spend a quiet evening at home tonight, after all the revelry I engaged in for three days in New Orleans. I have leftovers for my dinner and a nice bottle of wine to drink, so I am good. 🙂 Have a nice Monday night, friends.

The sexy a-shirt boy; windy morning on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

As I’ve written on this site before, it takes a special guy to carry off wearing a tight-fitting a-shirt, but the boy to the left here does it in spades–broad shoulders, nice arm and chest muscles, and a flat belly. Aye-yi-yi, if he were my boyfriend he’d dress like that every day of the week. 😉

I didn’t get home from the airport until 11:30 last night. I had one drink and hit the bed, and I didn’t get up this morning until 9:30. I needed the rest after three days of partying ion New Orleans. But what a great time I had with my friends. We attended multiple parades, dined on excellent cuisine, and drank entirely too much alcohol. But we made sure to get plenty of rest too, so I never woke up with a hangover.

Oh, here’s another photo of our boy-of-the-day, this one without the a-shirt. I can’t decide which look I prefer, but then I don’t have to decide, do I?

Anyway, it’s 10:30 AM now, and I just finished breakfast. I won’t do any writing today, it’s too late to start. So, I will read the newspaper, and then I’ll take a three-mile walk, here on the island. Right after lunch I will drive into town to visit the YMCA for a workout and lap-swimming session, and then I’ll run a few errands on my way home.

I don’t have any plans for this evening, other than dining on leftovers and drinking a bottle of Sauvignon blanc I have chilling in my friend, and that doesn’t sound too bad.

All right, everyone, it’s good to be home, and I hope wherever you are today, the sun is shining and you’re in good frame of mind. Keep smiling, it’s important.

One more Dylan Dauzat photo; Martin’s back from Mardis Gras ….

Hi, friends and readers:

As stated in my last post, I consider Dylan Dauzat an airhead, but he is mighty cute, plus he’s from Louisiana. Why does that matter? Because I just returned from New Orleans an hour ago, after spending three wonderful days in the Crescent City.

What a wonderful place.

The weather was lovely, the food beyond good, and the people there are so welcoming to visitors. I also like the way the races get along so well. I wish it were that way in Florida. My two friends and I had a great time at multiple parades and walking the streets. Okay, we probably drank too much alcohol (huh?), and on the flight home to Tampa the Southwest flight attendant told us, “You boys need to simmer down.”

We met so many friendly and gracious people. One local woman told us, “You’ll never meet a stranger in our city.” And it’s true, they make you feel at home in New Orleans.

I love you, Big Easy, and good night my friends.

Sexy Dylan Dauzat; beautiful morning on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

I know little about Instagram personality Dylan Dauzat. I tried watching one of his videos on YouTube and he came across as a nauseating and talentless douche, but he certainly is cute. I wouldn’t mind it if he ran around my house shirtless 24/7, as long as he kept his mouth shut. 😉 Anyway, I’m putting up a few photos of him today, which I find rather…stimulating. Nice headband, Dylan.

I slept in late this morning, though I am not sure why, since I was in bed before eleven last night. Now it’s around eleven AM and I’m in the midst of preparations for my trip to New Orleans. I have a load of laundry going and brought my suitcase down from the attic. I watered all the houseplants and took care of correspondence. Now all I need to do is pack.

Here’s another Dylan photo I really like. In my view, the less clothes he wears the better.  😉 That looks like southern California in the background, doesn’t it?

Anyway, I have a few errands to run this afternoon–wine market, alterations shop, bank, nothing major. A truck skipped a stone into my windshield and cracked it the other day, so an auto glass company is coming out here to replace it. (Thankfully it’s fully covered by insurance.) I’ll take a two-mile run around four PM, here on the island. Our weather is perfect today–mid-70’s and sunny–so I’ll enjoy the run. Then I’ll spend my evening in the city with my best friend, drinking a few beers and dining on takeout.

Have a great Thursday, friends. And keep smiling, it’s important. 🙂
