I am not a huge football fan. I enjoy watching the Florida Gators play because I went to school there four years, but aside from that, I can take or leave the sport.
Anyway, today is Super Bowl Sunday, and I will go to a friend’s house to watch at least the first half of the game on his large-screen TV. There will be three or four guys there, including me, and I’m bringing a casserole as my contribution to dinner. Honestly, I don’t care which team wins the game, and I will likely drive home after we dine during half-time.
I watched a Netflix rental last night, The Greatest Showman, which I found only mildly entertaining. Afterward, I opened my windows and switched on the fireplace. It was so quiet and peaceful, I hated to go to bed, but I finally hit the sack around midnight.
I was up this morning at 8:30. Outside, it was very foggy, so much I could not see across the Intracoastal Waterway. This always happens in February here, when the water is cold but certain days have warm air temperature, like yesterday. I don’t mind the fog, really, it’s kind of calming.
I spent most of my morning writing, and now it’s eleven AM. After I finish this post, I’ll take a three-mile walk, here on the island, for some exercise. I have some household chores I’ll need to work on, and an editing project I’ll tackle. Then I’ll get busy preparing my casserole.
Have a nice Sunday, friends, and if you’re a football nut, enjoy the game. 🙂
