If you follow this site, then you know I live on a barrier island on Florida’s Gulf coast. I’m surrounded by water, and everywhere I look I see boats. One thing I’ve noticed is, when you put a young man on a boat and get him out on the water, he loses most all of his clothing, or sometimes all of it. It makes for nice viewing, especially if he goes swimming and his suit is sticking to him like a second skin.
I mean, who could resist starting at Mr. Pink Trunks to the left here? He’s adorable …. 😉
It’s 4:30 PM right now, and I’ve had a very busy day. I am, frankly, exhausted, and ready for a relaxing evening.
My day started with a trip to the dentist for a cleaning, x-rays and a checkup. From there I traveled to Dick’s to buy new swimming goggles. (My old ones broke during my sea cruise and I’ve been using an even older pair I can barely see out of.) Then I visited Home Depot and an office supply store. On my way home, I filled my gas tank at a WaWa.
Once home, I ate a quick lunch and then it was time for a thorough housecleaning, the kind I only do about every two months. I cleaned everything–the bathrooms, the kitchen, and all the common areas. It took me close to three hours, but now it’s done and everything looks and smells great. Even my wood floors are shining. I know I could pay someone to do this type of work, but honestly, it doesn’t bother me, and I know it’s done right.
Since it’s Thursday, I will drive into town in about an hour to spend the evening with my oldest friend. We’ll drink some beer on his outdoor deck and dine on takeout. It’s always fun.
Have a nice Thursday, friends.
