Have you ever attended a triathlon? I have, several times, and the sights are always interesting. The guys swim a mile, bike 14 miles, and run three miles. The competitors are in supremely fit condition, and they’re not wearing much at the finish line. Yummy …. 😉
A friend and I went to a local bar to dine on cheeseburgers last night, and our food was delicious. The place was crowded, and a live musician performed. We had a good time, but by the time we returned home, we were both beat, so we didn’t go for a swim at my timeshare. I had a glass of wine on my back porch before retiring with a book. I was exhausted after spending a couple of hours doing yard work.
Weather conditions today are dreadful–92 degrees F, with high humidity, no cloud cover, and no breeze. It’s like we are living in a sauna. This is the kind of day where I don’t even want to go outdoors.
By the way, do you find the young man to the left here as appealing as I do? I like his stringy limbs and sweat-drenched hair. If he were my boyfriend I’d ask him to leave his Sharpie numbers on his left leg and arm, so I could lick them later. (I know, I’m a kinky guy at times.)
Friends are coming out to the beach this afternoon, and I imagine we will set up my tent down there to afford some shade. I will cook dinner for us and they will spend the night in my vacation rental next door. So, it should make for a nice Sunday. I may try to take a two-mile run around four PM if we get some cloud cover. And I’ll at least walk three miles on the beach for exercise.
All right, everyone, I need to get busy on household chores, so I will close this post by wishing you a pleasant Sunday, wherever you might be. 🙂
