Here in Florida, we take our swimming pools seriously, and for good reason–five months out of the year it’s stinking hot, and nothing refreshes like a pleasant swim in a cool pool.
The young man to the left here is William Franklyn Miller, who I’d like to swim with. 😉
Okay, I did not post on this site yesterday, not because I was sick or something, but because I had a lot going on. I worked on a painting project in my vacation rental. Then I took a three-mile walk on the beach. I spent an hour soaking in the Gulf with two friends. Then I attended a pool party with a lot of nice gay men. The hosts barbecued and the company was great.
I slept in late this morning, and the bed felt so good I didn’t want to get up. But I did, and while I read the Sunday paper, a rainstorm rolled over my island. Now the storm is gone and the sun is shining and it’s very steamy here. I don’t have much planned for my day, really. My home and my yard are in great shape, and so’s my vacation rental, so I have no chores to perform. In a few minutes, I’ll take another three-mile walk on the beach and check out all the hot college boys in their swim trunks.
Around four PM, I plan on taking a two-mile run. Hopefully by then the sky will cloud up and a breeze will be blowing, to help keep me cool. And this evening, I plan to go for a dip in my neighbors’ pool. Have a nice Sunday, friends.
