I discovered watercolor artist Gabriel Garbow several years ago, when I came across some of his paintings online. The subjects of most of Garbow’s paintings are handsome young men, often wearing very little. Some depict two gay men making love. I have two Garbow watercolors in my bedroom, and every morning, when I look at them, they lift my spirits because they are so beautiful.
I tried taking a three-mile walk on the beach down the street, earlier this afternoon, but conditions down there were terrible. The tide was way up, the surf was rough, and the normally soft sand was instead a solid sheet of seashells, making barefoot walking way too uncomfortable. So I came back home.
Here’s another Garbow watercolor I really like. It’s titled Boy with a Pillow. The model is exquisitely handsome, and I especially like the muted colors in the painting.
It’s getting close to four PM, and I spent a little time watching football earlier, but I can’t get all the excited about the games on TV today.
Okay, if you would like to see more of Garbow’s work, click on the button in the sidebar to the right here, and you can view dozens of his paintings.
When it comes to young men, it’s hard to find a cuter one than YouTube celebrity Dylan Dauzat, whom you see in today’s photo posts. He has everything going for him in the looks department–great hair and skin, lovely facial features, and a killer smile. Sadly, when it comes to talent, Dylan is totally lacking. 🙁
Oh, well, at least we can enjoy his physical beauty, but I’m afraid he’ll be utterly forgotten my even his die hard fans, a few years from now. You can’t succeed entirely on looks, now can you?
Last night, I attended our island’s Halloween golf cart parade, with about twenty of my neighbors. The weather was exquisite and so was the sunset over the Gulf. The parade was brief, but fun, and afterward I went home to listen to music before dining on a simple dinner I prepared. I watched a little football while I dined, and after dinner I sat on my back porch for a bit before climbing into bed with a book. I was tired and achy after doing a bunch of yard work yesterday, and I probably fell asleep around ten PM. Yeah, call me Grandpa Martin.
It’s a pretty fall day, here on the island, and I’m gong to keep my day simple and relaxed. I plan to take a three-mile walk on the beach, right after lunch, and I have some light yard work to do on my patios. I will probably watch a little football and maybe play my guitar. I have leftovers for my dinner, and a nice bottle of white wine chilling in the fridge, so I am set.
