The guy you see in this morning’s photo posts is Hunter Geurink, a young man who became famous through his Instagram account. I don’t know what he does for a living, or if he’s in college, but he is, in my opinion, terribly sexy. I wonder if he has a boyfriend?
I spent a pleasant evening yesterday at my friend’s house in the city. The weather was so beautiful and we savored it on his second-floor deck overlooking his leafy yard. We dined on Greek cuisine, and then I drove home. It wasn’t long before I crawled into bed with a book.
This morning, something amazing happened: I got up at eight AM for the first time in many months. If you follow this site, then you know I’ve been sleeping entirely too much each night, sometimes as much as eleven hours, which interferes with my writing and leaves me feeling less than productive. This has gone on since April.
Back in August, my doctor put me on a thyroid medication, and he has twice upped my dosage. I am hoping maybe we have finally hit the right amount for me, and that the long sleeping sessions will finally come to an end. I was able to write a good amount of fresh material for my novel-in-progress this morning. 🙂
It’s a beautiful day, here on the island, sunny and breezy and not too warm. I just walked down to the seawall near my front door, to gaze out over the Intracoastal Waterway, and things looked so pretty, I couldn’t help but smile, sort of like Hunter’s doing in the photo to the left. 🙂
A former German exchange student who lived with me for a year is arriving here Friday afternoon, along with his girlfriend, to spend a week in my vacation rental next door. He and I have remained the best of friends ever since he lived with me, and I’m looking forward to his visit. Today, I’ll buy some food to stock the fridge next door, so they’ll have snacking and breakfast food when they arrive.
Have a nice Thursday, friends. And keep on smiling, it’s important. 🙂
