It’s New Year’s Eve, a night for celebration with friends and neighbors, and a time to reflect on the year we’ve just experienced.
I have never considered New Year’s Eve to be an important holiday, though I know many people do. Hey, I don’t need an excuse to drink. I also don’t care for bars and night clubs, or for huge crowds, although I do enjoy dancing.
Okay, the photo to the left here has nothing to do with New Year’s Eve, I’m only posting it because I think it’s pretty damned hot, and a good way to close out 2019 on this site. Isn’t he beautiful? He has amazing skin and hair, and a nice slender body. He sure fills out those briefs well, too. 😉
My evening is already set in place. I’m hosting my friend/neighbor for drinks and dinner. I’m grilling a tasty New York strip steak over charcoal. I’ll serve it with twice baked potatoes and my friend’s bringing a tossed salad. After we dine, we will walk over to our neighbors’ home to socialize with everyone who lives around here and watch a nice fireworks display the neighbors put on every year.
I don’t know that I will make it until midnight, as I am still quite weak from the flu I suffered through during the past week, but I will do my best. Happy New Year’s Eve friends. And be careful on the road, if you go out. 🙂
Oh, the joy of slender young men and their sleek bodies. Imagine sharing and apartment with the guy to the left here? I’d keep him in his birthday suit whenever we were home together, and could you blame me? Aye-yi-yi …. 😉
It’s 6:00 PM here, and I am feeling better than I have since Christmas. My flu is finally subsiding, and I’m getting some of my energy back. Around four this afternoon, I drove to the supermarket for groceries, the first time I had driven since last Friday. It felt good to get out in a crowd of people and do normal things.
It’s quiet here on the island tonight. I have my doors and windows open, and the only sounds I can hear are the voices of children playing across the street. They have so much energy. 🙂
I know a lot of you guys out there having a craving for beefy men with bulging muscles, and I get that. Hunks are sexy. But my tastes run to slender guys like our friend to the left here, who approaches perfection, at least in my book–great skin and hair, beautiful facial features, broad shoulders, and a lean torso. Yummy …. 😉
Well, I am now on day six since my flu symptoms arose. I slept until one PM today, and I am sure my body needed the rest. After breakfast, I took my coffee cup to my desktop PC and got to work on the cover art form for my soon-to-be-published novel. It’s a wonderful story about learning how to cope with loss, and I am hoping it will be a success when it goes to market.
Now, have a look at Mr. Shirtless to the left here. What’s not to like about him? He has a nice, slender frame, just the right amount of muscle, and a dazzling smile I could gaze at all day long. I wonder if he has a boyfriend?
It’s a little past three PM here, and I am hardly feeling chipper, but I have to run to the supermarket and our island butcher shop to buy thing for my New Year’s Eve dinner I will share with my friend and neighbor. Once home, I have a few minor household chores to take care of, and then I may take a nap.
Tonight, my Florida Gators take on Virginia in the Orange Bowl, down near Miami, and I’ll be watching the game for certain. I’m not really a huge football fan, but I rarely miss a Gator game, as I am an alumnus. Go Gators! 🙂
It may seem strange, putting up “boys at the beach” photos in late December, but the weather on my island is so pleasant, I am sure guys are flocking to the shore down the street today.
BTW, do you find the young man to the left as appealing as I do? He has an amazing athletic body, beautiful skin, and I love his braids that he is gathering into a man bun. I wonder who he is, and whether or not he has a boyfriend? If not, he could always call me. 😉
Well, if you are wondering why I have not posted in a couple of days, there’s a good reason. I have been dreadfully sick with the flu. The symptoms began Christmas morning and continued through Thursday. Then, on Friday morning, I woke to find my sheets damp with my sweat. I suffered fevers and chills and all the energy was drained from my body. My joints ached and my head hurt. In short, I was miserable.
I spent all day and night, Friday and Saturday in bed. I only got up to use the bathroom and take more Tylenol and anti-diarrhea medication. I tried to drink as much water as I could. This morning, I still felt fatigued and feverish, but I am a little better, now that the day is progressing.
Oh, and isn’t our blond friend to the left here lovely? Great skin and hair, and nice slender build. Definitely boyfriend material. 😉
It’s two PM here, and the sun is shining. I have my doors and windows open and I can hear seagulls at the beach crying. I’n enjoying a banana for my lunch (suggested for combating diarrhea) and I will spend the remainder of my day resting.
Okay, here’s one more “backward ball cap” photo, and isn’t he cute as hell? I love the way his jeans ride so low on his hips. And those abs. Aye-yi-yi ….
It’s so pretty here tonight, and I am feeling much better. Around 5:30 PM, I started a blaze in my fire pit, and two friends joined me for a couple of hours. Yeah, we did a little drinking and plenty of talking and laughing. They just left a few minutes ago, and now my steelhead trout is baking in the oven. It smells so delicious and I can’t wait to dine. 🙂
My plans for my Friday night are fluid. I have a date opportunity, a lovely lad who’s staying 3 miles from here in a hotel with his family. But I don’t won’t to pass my bug on to him, so I’ll be a good boy and maybe spend a little time on Porn Hub. 😉
I just love the look of a backward ball cap on a sexy young guy. The cap gives him an air of irreverence I find enchanting. I mean, check out our friend to the left here. He’s cute as hell, has nice smooth skin, lovely muscles and a long pink tongue I’m sure he can do amazing things with. 😉 Definitely boyfriend material.
Yesterday, I woke feeling listless and feverish, plus a I had a bad case of the runs when I visited the toilet. I played it smart and took things easy, dosing myself with Tylenol and Pepto-Bismol. I went to bed early and fell asleep pretty quickly. I woke this morning at 8:30 feeling a little better.
I am assuming I picked up some kind of bug as a result of the whirlwind schedule I have pursued since last Thursday, when I drove to the Disney World area for an evening date. I was busy with Christmas preparations all weekend, and Monday through Wednesday I was partying with friends and eating food I normally don’t, so I guess I wore myself out. I should know better at my age. 🙁
Anyway, since it’s Friday I would normally visit the YMCA for a workout and lap-swimming, but with the way I am feeling that would not be wise. I’ll stay at home and maybe take a walk, here on the island, for some exercise, if my digestive system settles down.
All right, everyone, I need to get busy with household chores, so I will close this post by wishing you all an amazing Friday, wherever you might be today. And keep smiling, it’s important. 🙂
Sometimes a guy looks his best when he’s wearing something simple, like a pair of tight-fitting black briefs. I mean, if the guy to the left here were my boyfriend, those briefs would be all he’d wear around the house. I’d buy him a dozen pairs so he’d never run out of clean ones. 😉
Did everyone have a nice Christmas holiday? I prepared a yummy casserole yesterday and took it to my best friend’s house, along with garlic bread and home-baked Christmas cookies. He made us a nice salad, and after we spent 90 minutes sitting by his fire pit and drinking beer, we dined on all the food. It was delicious and we enjoyed each other’s company very much, a perfect Christmas celebration. I was home by 9:30 PM and spent a little time trading messages with friends before hitting the bed.
Here’s another sexy guy in black briefs who looks really good in them. Okay, he’s a bit on the slender side, but I like slender guys. In my book, he’d definitely boyfriend material. 😉
It’s a nice day, here n the island–sunny, still and quiet, about 75 degrees F. After I finish this post, I plan to take a three-mile walk, here on the island for a little exercise.
I have nothing planned for the rest of my day. Normally, I would spend Thursday night with my best friend, but I just saw him last night, so I will stay home and perhaps get a blaze going in my fire pit.
It’s Christmas 2019, and what a beautiful day it is, here on my tropical island–sunny, cool and still. It’s also very quiet here today, which is nice. This morning I enjoyed my coffee on my back screened porch, and it felt so good to be alive and well.
Last night, I co-hosted a dinner party at my place for six of us. I made white seafood lasagna that turned out really well, and my guests provided tasty sides and dessert. It was such a pleasurable evening, and after I got the kitchen cleaned up, I sat in my living room and listened to Christmas music while I gazed at my beautiful tree.
Yesterday afternoon, I distributed home baked Christmas cookies to all my nearby neighbors, which they seemed to appreciate. It’s one my favorite holiday traditions.
Today, I will prepare one of my best pasta casserole recipes, along with garlic bread. I will take these to my best friend’s house in the city, where we will drink a few beers and enjoy a blaze in my friend’s fire pit. Then we’ll enjoy my casserole and bread, along with a great salad my friend is making. I’m also bringing him a tin of Christmas cookies which will be our dessert.
Have a great Christmas, everyone, and don’t forget to count your blessings. It’s important. 🙂
It’s Christmas Eve, and what better way to celebrate than to gaze upon lovely Olympic diver, Tom Daley, who I think is among the sexiest and sweetest guys on the planet. Now, I ask you, would you pass up a chance to smooch with Tom under the mistletoe? Of course you wouldn’t. And don’t those sleep pants look sexy on him? Yummy ….
Last night, I spent the nicest evening with one of my oldest friends, Bill. He lives about five miles from here in waterfront home. We had a couple of drinks, then dined at a Cajun/Creole restaurant. Bill and I grew up in the same neighborhood, and we’ve known each other since we were seven.
When I got home last night, I traded text messages with several people while enjoying the beauty of my Christmas tree, and then I went to bed. I slept for ten hours before rising around 10:30 this morning.
I have a busy day ahead of me. Right after I finish this post I will take a three-mile walk, here on the island, for some exercise. I have to fill out some Christmas cards, then deliver them along with tins of home-baked cookies to my neighbors. I have a little housework to do, then I will prepare a large dish of white seafood lasagna for a dinner party I am hosting tonight, with six people in attendance. I’ll have Christmas music on the stereo and a blaze going in my fire pit, and it should be a good time for everyone.
By thew way, do you find the sexy Santa in the lower photo as appealing as I do? I’ll bet he can do amazing things with that bright pink tongue of his. 😉
Anyways, I have to get busy, friends, so I will close this post by wishing all of you a wonderful Christmas Eve, wherever you might be today. I hope you’ll be surrounded by friends and loved ones who are special to you. 🙂
Back when I was in college and law school, I wore my hair long; it grew past my shoulders. And I thought it looked pretty good on me cause I was kind of skinny. But the hair was a pain in the ass to take care of, ad I finally got it all cut off when I got my first job with a law firm.
Now, I don’t know about you, but I think the guys in today’s photo posts look terrific with their long hair. I mean, look at the guy in the upper photo. Imagine kiss him while you ran your fingers through his shaggy locks. Yummy …. 😉
I spent a quiet night at home yesterday, dining on fresh steelhead trout and an avocado salad. I watched a little TV, but son turned it off and climbed into bed with a book. I ended up sleeping until 9:30 this morning, and woke feeling groggy, I don’t know why. I brewed coffee and ate a quick breakfast. Then I solved the L.A. Times crossword puzzle in short order. It’s always easy on Monday.
It is such a beautiful day outside that I turned off my a/c system and opened all my doors and windows. The sun is shining, it’s about 72 degrees, and still. I am kind of stuck here at home today because a repairman is due here this afternoon to get my gas fireplace working smoothly again. Hopefully he’ll get it fixed and then I can go for a three-mile walk to enjoy this pretty day.
