Hot guys and their cameras; Martin fought off a 24-hour bug ….

Hi, friends and readers:

I find most selfies pretty boring, but occasionally I come across a couple I deem worthy of sharing with you guys, and the two I am posting here this afternoon fall into that category.

Now, even though the photo to the left here isn’t very revealing. I still like it because the young man is quite beautiful, and he is showing off his belly (or lack thereof) to his viewers. Tasty ….

I had the oddest experience yesterday. I attended a very nice celebration of life gathering in a pretty waterfront park. There were maybe sixty people there, and tons of delicious food. I was there three hours, and then I drove home.

I wasn’t home even 45 minutes when I started feeling weak and feverish, and my guts started rumbling. I decided to get proactive and cancel a dinner I planned to attend. I swallowed two Tylenols and climbed into bed,  where I essentially stayed all night. I read the remainder of my Joan Didion book of essays, then started reading Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. I made a few trips to thew bathroom (I won’t go into details on that.) I read until about one AM before falling asleep, and I woke up feeling a bit weak, but okay enough to briefly attend a neighborhood party down the block. Then I came home and read on my patio.

Now it’s past four PM and I am feeling a lot better after taking things easy today. Once the sun goes down, I plan to build a blaze in my fire pit. I have a chicken breast thawing for my dinner, and I’ll watch a Netflix rental while I dine.

Okay, it hasn’t been a very exciting Sunday, but that’s okay. Have a nice Sunday evening, friends, wherever you might be today. And keep smiling, it’s important. 🙂
