Red hot wrestlers; quiet day on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

When my nephew was sixteen, he had to come live with me for the duration of high school, for reasons I won’t go into. He was a good looking boy and a fine athlete, and he earned himself a spot on his school’s wrestling team.

I had never attended a wrestling match before, but I quickly came to enjoy the meets my nephew competed in. I also came to appreciate how much self-discipline have to practice in order to be successful on the mat. (I also didn’t mind looking at the seniors in their singlets, like to two guys in today’s photo posts.) Yummy …. 😉

I was up early today because I had a nine AM doctor’s appointment in the city. It lasted about 90 minutes, and then I drove home to enjoy a nice lunch.  Now, it’s 1:15 PM and after I finish this post, I will perform my balance exercises and then workout with weights, here at home. It took me a couple of weeks to get used to not visiting the YMCA, but now I’ve gotten  my routine down and I am staying fit.

I spent yesterday afternoon working in my yard, which was badly in need of tending. It already feels like summer here, even though it’s only mid-April, and after 2-1/2 hours, I felt exhausted and ready to enjoy my air conditioned home.

All right, everyone, stay safe and have a wonderful Wednesday, wherever you might be. 🙂
