Best friends sharing life; another quiet day in store for Martin ….

Hi, friends and readers:

I think every teenage boy needs a best friend, someone he can share his deepest secrets with. Someone he can laugh with and also cry to when things are rough at home. Someone who he trusts completely.

When I was a teenager, my best friend’s name was Curtis. We did everything together, we were inseparable. He was straight and I, of course, was gay. But it didn’t matter. We played basketball, walked on the beach, went bowling and to movies.

I just spoke on the phone with Curtis yesterday afternoon. He and his wife live in North Carolina now, up in the mountains, and I will visit them at the end of July when I am staying near Asheville, NC for two weeks. I need to get out of this nasty Florida heat.

Aren’t the boys to the left here sexy? I assume they are wrestlers, but very cute ones. 😉

Today will be a quiet day for me. My only mission is to visit my favorite wine market for the first time in a month. I was simply too sick to drive all the way there, but I am better today. I will stock up on wine and vodka, and then come home. I have a meeting at 5:30 PM with a handyman I’m going to hire to do some projects on my property, and that’s about it.

Have a nice Monday, everyone. And keep smiling, it’s important. 🙂
