I had never been to a wrestling match until my high school aged nephew came to live with me. He tried out for his school’s wrestling team and made the cut, and thereafter I always made sure to attend his matches. He lost more than he won, but I admired his dedication.
I rose at 6:30 this morning and decided to take a three-mile walk on the beach down the street from my house. I wore swim trunks and a t-shirt and I walked barefooted. It was delightful. And then I swam in the Gulf, a great way to start my day.
I’ve gotten a lot done this morning–finding a new doctor (mine’s retiring) and arranging with the Suzuki dealer’s mechanic to repair my boat at the slip I keep it in, so I don’t have to pull the boat out of the water. I did some household chores and tended to correspondence, and now it’s lunchtime.
BTW, I wonder why the wrestler to the left here is scowling? Maybe he lost his match and is pouting?
It rained hard here, right after I returned from my beach walk, so its’ not as hot as it usually is outside during summer. I have some yard work to perform this afternoon, so I’ll take advantage of the cooler weather to get things done.
Have a nice Monday, everyone. 🙂
